Double Bed in your own room overlooking the pool in a large 4 bedroom home in the suburb of Kirwan. The house is close to shops, pubs, restaurants, cinema, the Riverway swimming lagoons and the local public transport (Sunbus) pulls up at the end of our street. The house is very spacious with a large outdoor entertaining area by the pool and 3 living areas. Full use of the kitchen and outdoor bbq is available but you will need to supply your own food if you are staying a while - you are more than welcome to join us for meals as long as you return the favour during your stay. The laundry is available for your use as well. You will need to share one of the bathrooms and toilet with another member of the household. There are usually 2 bedrooms - both with double beds avail (can only guarantee the 1 all the time though)
I live between 2 homes, the home in townsville has 3 bedrooms, you would have a bedroom to yourself that is clean and tidy. There is a bus service , which would take you ,20 minutes to get into centre of town.About 300 mtrs away from my door, and to many other suburbs. We are close to supermarket, shops, you could walk. In town there are many things to do, there are islands you can visit , if you headed up north, there is beautiful rain forests. Lovely strand for day out , picnic ect. Townsville has theatre, casino, resturants.Also, you would be welcome to go up the mountain to the other home, which is a cottage for a few days, you would also have you own bedroom and it is always 10 degrees cooler than Townsville.
We live in a 3 bedroom Queenslander, with a study below. There is one spare room with a Queen sized bed and one spare room with a single bed. If there are more people, we could possibly sleep another single bed in the study. Our house is 5 minutes from The Strand and the centre of town. There is a bus stop which takes you straight into town 3 houses up the street. There is a convenient store 3 blocks away. Townsville is home to tropical climates,warm beaches, the Great Barrier Reef, Hervey Ranges if you'd like to hike in the cool forests and rain forests. Queensland is also known for it's barramundi fishing, reef fishing and mud crabs for those who like catching their own food!
We live in Townsville, North Queensland Australia. The gateway to the Barrier Reef. We live on the highway through town in a large 4brm house and are able to offer one of those rooms for accomodation as required. We also have a large backyard to pit a tent if you wish. Your own car would be advantages but not 100% neccesary as there is limited public transport and we are always driving into town centre ourselves - which is about 10minute drive away. There is large shopping centres close by and we have bikes which we could possibly loan to you.
We actually live on Magnetic Island just off the coast of townsville(25 minute ferry trip $20-$25 return. The residence is a two storey 2 bdrm unit on a large block of land set in tropical surrounds. we are about 100m from the beach and very close to all shops, pubs, transport etc. We have plenty of room downstairs and several spare beds/sofabeds etc.There is all the facilties available that you would need as well as the fact that it is on a tropical island.Magnetic island is world heritage listed and about 70% national park.
Accomodation space on the floor or couch, or a bed,if available, in a three bedroom house close to shops, and ten minutes drive to the beach. 15 minutes drive to nightlife, and not far from major shopping centres. Easygoing lifestyle. Feel free to use the kitchen facilities but you'll have to buy your own food, unless you wish to share costs with host and cook the odd meal or two. Townsville is central to the inland tourist destinations as well as being on the main tourist line north and south on the eastern seaboard.
Small room with a single bed, and hanging space. Free to use fridge, cooking facilities and laundry, but must clean up afterwards. Willing to cook for short visits, but longer visits must reciprocate with food or outing for instance. In the suburbs of Townsville, bus to centre of town, and to catch ferries to Magnetic Island and the Reef. Bus trips from here to Ingham in the north, and Charters Towers in the West, plus other short trips like to the Lava Tubes.
We have a spare room with a double bed in a 3 bedroomed house. We live 20kms from Townsville which is a 40 minute drive or a 35 minute bus ride. Our home is very close to a cinema, shops and places to eat. Beautiful Magnetic Island is on our doorstep and the Great Barrier Reef is 2 hours away by boat. Townsville is very close to lots of other holiday destinations such as The Whitsunday's and Cairns Feel free to use our kitchen to cook your own food.
Small room with an air mattress in my 3 bedroom house in the suburb of Bushland Beach. We are very close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport (it's about a 25 minute drive into the city-centre). Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore both Townsville and North Queensland. nb: Available AFTER 20th October 2007
