Spare futon in a teacher's apartment building. The city is on the Tohoku shinkansen line and expressway from Tokyo to Hokkaido, so might be a good place to stopover if you are travelling round northern Japan. About 90mins by bus from Sendai, 4hrs by bus from Tokyo, (90mins by bullet train), and about 45mins from Mount Bandai where you can ski in the winter.
Cool place, no worries come and hang out.
