We live in the western part of Austria, close to Switzerland (5 km), Germany (30 km) and Liechtenstein (25 km), surrounded by beautiful mountains. Our village is rather small, but shop+public transport is close at hand (bus, train 5 to 10 minutes walk) and OK. Things to do around here: Hiking in summer ( I love it but still have immense respect for those awsome heights!), skiing or snowboarding in winter, swimming, biking, paragliding (courses held pretty close to us - I did one 2 years ago - awesome experience!),... Sightseeing: small villages, nice old city centres, Lake Constance, gorgeous gorges etc. We have an extra room available when my boys are away from home. In case the boys are here, we have a couch or a mattress to put down somewhere in the house. Just ask!
